Celeste Friesen
Artist Celeste Friesen is originally from Winnipeg, Canada and now resides at the north-eastern tip of Cape Breton Is. in Nova Scotia, Canada. After a career in the business world, she "took up the brush" and pursued her art, studying and exhibiting in both the USA and Canada. Her inspiration is often the spectacular coastal scenery of Northern Cape Breton, and she interprets it in her own expressionistic way, employing a variety of styles, techniques and materials, such as inks oils, collage or mixed media. The results are sometimes bold, colorful, textured, or in contrast, muted, delicate and transparent.
