Sigurborg Stefánsdóttir
Sigurborg was born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1959. She grew up in a small town in west Iceland where her parents ran a pharmacy. After High School and College she moved to Copenhagen, Denmark to pursue an education in Denmarks Design School (now KADK). She studied and worked in Denmark for 9 years before returning to Iceland. Thereafter she was a teacher in the Icelandic Academy of the Arts, as well as developing her own her own artwork. By now she is solely occupied workin gin her own studio. Sigurborgs focus in mainly on painting and artist's books. She is member or the Artist Books group "Arkir".
