Marco Raddino
An Italian artist immigrated to Switzerland. He has participated in international art fairs in Switzerland and Spain and museum exhibitions in China. In his artistic research, he explores the occult links between shapes, colours and metaphysical meanings: philosophy and literature are two of his main interests. In his works, forms often refer to trees, plants and volatile animals. Always in transformation, his figures constitute metamorphoses that arise from unconscious forces and skilful calculation at the same time. The colours he uses in his palette are deliberately limited: their purpose is to refer to the original purity of the Four Elements. In his paintings, space is not represented realistically: he usually favours vertical structures, which symbolise the profound union between the physical and spiritual worlds. He expresses the human condition and transforms it into an image on the canvas. His motto is: ‘Art as the threshold of mystery’.
