Could you tell us more about your background and how you began creating art?
My artistic journey began from a young age, as I have always been drawn to creativity and self-expression. Throughout my life, I have been both an artist and a vintage collector, finding inspiration in the beauty of the past. These two passions have intertwined and shaped my artistic style. Over the past decade, I have dedicated myself to the pursuit of art, constantly seeking to refine my techniques and explore new avenues of expression. I believe that my lifelong immersion in aesthetics and my love for vintage objects have greatly influenced the unique perspective that I bring to my art.
What does your art aim to say to its viewers?
The primary message I aim to convey through my art is one of wanderlust and the pursuit of beauty and fun in everyone's life. My artworks are meant to evoke a sense of longing for an aesthetic that exists only in our hearts. I want viewers to be captivated by the scenes I paint, which depict human connections and extravagant lifestyle enjoyments. By combining a selective pastel palette and a strong nostalgic influence, my art carries a sense of enchantment and transports viewers to a realm that is both familiar and unfamiliar. Ultimately, I hope to inspire a sense of joy, nostalgia, and a yearning for a past that never actually occurred.
Can you tell us about the process of creating your work? What is your daily routine when working?
The process of creating my work involves a harmonious interplay between old photographs, vintage snippets, and AI software that aids in transforming my thoughts into visual ideas. Each day, my creative journey begins with a cup of coffee, sweetened with violet syrup. From this point, the possibilities seem endless. Leaving behind the confines of my Palazzo, I go to my Studio, where I give life to my artistic visions. I work diligently to compose elaborate scenes, using dynamic brushstrokes that may appear unfinished but are nonetheless aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and soul. This process allows me to gather my hopes and dreams and manifest them in the form of art.
What is the essential element in your art?
The essential element in my art is the combination of a selective pastel palette and a strong nostalgic influence. These elements define my overall artistic signature and contribute to the unique character of my work. The carefully chosen pastel colors lend a soft and dreamlike quality to my paintings, while the nostalgic influence evokes a sense of longing and sentimental attachment to the past. It is through this harmonious fusion that my art finds its distinctive voice and resonates with viewers.
